More Halloween adventures
Nov. 1st, 2024 03:29 pmYesterday was Halloween. I celebrated by watching a Monster High movie before work, and then after work I impulsively decided to join Sam in going to a Halloween party at a local bar. Didn't really have a costume, so I just put on some cool stuff I own, but it turned out almost no one was dressed up. Fucking losers. :P There were two local bands playing, which was really cool. I had the most fun when I was just talking to Sam, though. Afterwards, we went for a short walk in the city, and first two guys who cycled past us already called us freaks, which is kind of dumb because it was HALLOWEEN, and then later two guys came up to us as we were just hanging out and taking pictures to harass us, which was really annoying. For some reason, they seemed to think Sam was dressed up as a magician, and they kept getting closer to us and going "simsalabim" at us. We started walking away when one of them yelled "Can you do a trick?!" to us, to which Sam replied with them circling their hands around and then flipping them off. They yelled "Fuck you!", flipped us off too, started laughing and yelled "simsalabim" at us some more. Perfect example of why the problem is not that we have a lot of asylum seekers, but that the problem is that they don't have anything to do all day. You put them in small quarters in a dirty and loud building and give them nothing to do and then this is what you end up with. They go and be annoying outside. Oh well. At least they didn't attack us, or anything, so it's not the worst.
I already started having a bit of a sore throat yesterday, but today my throat is even more sore, I've got a headache and I have to blow my nose often. I could avoid getting ill for quite a long time, but it now seems that I might be getting ill again. Honestly, with coworkers and costumers coughing without covering their mouth it was only a matter of time. It still sucks, though.
And then now it's November. Fucking wild. October went so fast this year. I feel like Christmas is still so far away, but it's in less than two months. In two months the new year will start! Damn. I like the winter holidays a lot, but I am a bit sad Halloween is over already. I guess it's always Halloween in my heart, though, lol.
Right now I'm trying to do the e-learning thing I need to do for my first aid seminar that I will do for my job soon, but I can't get into my account on the website. The wonders of technology, right?
