Mayday (7th)!
May. 7th, 2024 01:23 pmI should probably post here more often, but social media seemed too boring to me lately to really do anything. So let's just catch you up to speed.
My birthday was honestly fucking fun. Which is wild, because it is usually okay at best. First my grandmother came over and we played Trivial Pursuit for hours, and then I played the Year 1997 Trivial Pursuit with my mother when my grandmother was gone, and then in the evening my mother's boyfriend and his daughter came over and we played Frustration. I probably played games for five or six hours that day, but it was fun. How'd I get the energy?
I DRINK ENERGY DRINKS NOW! Monster, to be more specific. They help me consume enough sugar (I need to consume a lot of it per day according to my dietitian) and the caffeine has helped a lot with battling my hypersomnia. I actually feel like I have some energy when I drink it. They also taste pretty good. For some reason I had assumed they'd taste really gross and bitter because of the caffeine. I've tried Monarch, Pipeline Punch, Mango Loco and Valentino Rossi Monster and so far Mango Loco's my favorite. But I'll stop rambling about drinks now.
May has been chill so far. I went to this festival that's free to attend on the 5th. Freedom festival. It's a Dutch thing. It was really fun. Went there with my family, but I also came across some comrades, so that was cool. Was most excited for the military being there, and I did get a lot of cool free military merchandise, but Seb Zukini and Traversus are two small local bands that kicked fucking ass! Comrade took a picture of me with the lead singer of Seb Zukini and I bought a shirt from them and their EP, and I got the EP sleeve signed by the entire band. Would love to see them live again. Traversus was good too, but I'm not as much into metal as alternative rock. It was pretty funny to see five people mosh in front of the stage. The first moshpit I ever see and it's just five people. Little disappointing, but still cool to see them bonking into each other like that.
Aside from that, I've mostly just been gaming and studying for my finals. Been enjoying Fortnite a lot (Battle Royale + Festival + Rocket Racing), but I've also picked DOOM II back up and Wolfenstein: The New Order, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Wolfenstein: Youngblood were only 14 bucks together on the PlayStation Store, so I figured I just had to get them. I've gotten started on The New Order and I think the plot is really interesting, but these type of games aren't really for me. I just need a gun and a target and no vague missions! But I think I'll continue the game anyway for the story. Duke Nukem 3D was also just 2 bucks on the PlayStation Store, so I bought that game too. Haven't played it yet, but it seems fun. Really too bad they haven't released Wolfenstein 3D for the PlayStation 4, but it's alright. I'll just play it on my laptop sometime, or something. Fuck, now I just feel like playing DOOM II again and killin' some monsters! But I need to study this afternoon. Also been experimenting with a biphasic sleeping schedule since last night, so I was awake from 3 to 8 am this night/morning and I rewatched Natural Born Killers and played DOOM II. Pretty fucking sweet when everyone's still asleep. No one bugging me and all.
Tonight the Eurovision Songcontest starts. I know I don't really look like the person to be into that kind of thing, but I guess it's a guilty pleasure of mine. Guess I really am gay, huh?
Anyway, I think I might try to update my website for a bit now because it's been too fucking long, and then I'll study after lunch.
Oh yeah, I also got an idea for a DOOM WAD in my dreams this morning, so maybe I'll try to make a DOOM WAD after my finals...
