It's been pretty warm lately because, you know, SUMMER, so I often find it affecting my sleep. Today I woke up in the middle of the night and I was warm and sweaty, but I was quite delighted that I didn't have any of the intense nightmares that tend to plague me during nights like those. I decided to check the time, so I grabbed my Casio watch and clicked the backlight button. Correction: I TRIED to click the backlight button. I had instead pressed the button under it and after some confused buttonsmashing on my watch later, I had accidentally turned on the sound. I thought it meant alarm, and I thought that I had set it for 12 something am or pm, so I figured I could fix it in the morning. Well, turns out I had turned on a beep that goes off every hour. Not very ideal when you're trying to sleep. So when I heard it beep at 5 am, I decided to get up and stumble around my room to get the user manual for my watch so I could turn that damned sound off. Even with the manual it took some effort (the manual is so hard to understand), but eventually I managed to turn off the sound. (Derick the tech genius, anyone?) I then went back to sleep.

This time I did have a horrible dream. I dreamed I was struggling to put the aquarium back together (for some reason the front window was detachable???), and as the water poured out, so did little Devon. I tried my best to fix his aquarium, but there were many times during my dream that I thought he was going to die, or saw him stressed and struggling. I've dreamed about Devon (almost) dying from getting out of the water before, and these dreams are some of the most horrible I get. You can probably imagine my relief when I woke up and went downstairs to find Devon peacefully swim around. I care so much about him. I don't want him to be in danger or hurt or anything. I hate these dreams. The murder dreams are manageable. Just don't make me dream about Devon being in trouble.
