Markets aren't what they used to be
Nov. 30th, 2024 07:10 pmToday I went to a Christmas market close-by and damn, did it depress me. I did manage to buy an Iron Cross pendant and a bracelet with matte black beads (I'm pretty sure this one was handmade by the seller), but everywhere I looked I saw A.I. images and stuff that they probably wholesaled from China. It's just stuff you'd see on Temu, but more expensive. As for the A.I. imagery, I even saw the most shit quality material T-shirt, and the entire print was A.I.-generated. The gingerbread men only had one leg and looked like their heads were melting, and the text on it read something like "CHRISTMAS CHRISTMESY" because A.I. doesn't understand text in pictures. Genuinely made me so fucking pissed to see that stuff.
And my mother also said we're not really going to do any Christmas stuff with any family members. No presents. No Christmas dinner. Boring as fuck. Oh well, at least I'll still have a holiday celebration with comrades. Really looking forward to that. I wonder what I'll get... And who my Secret Santa is, haha.
At least with Black Friday yesterday I did manage to get some good deals on Nedgame. At some point I had more than 30 things in my online cart... I managed to get rid of things until I was under 100 euros again. Over half of the money went to a 50 euros holiday sweater that wasn't on sale, but it was black with purple and had Gengar on it and it says "HAUNTING HOLIDAYS TO YOU HAHAHA". I just had to get it... Managed to stay under 90 euros. I also bought Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Toy Box Game Discs (I thought I had Disney Infinity 2.0, but apparently I have 1.0, but they were only 25 cents, so maybe I'll get the game in the future or I'll give them to someone who does have the game), a big Fortnite poster of Cuddle Team Leader and Bonesy (unfortunately the one with Brite Bomber and Dark Bomber was sold out, but this one was only 1 euro, so I think I'll put it up on a wall or my door or whatever), a Watch Dogs iPhone 5 phone case because it has this cool skull and hacking theme, the DOOM movie on DVD, Madden 17 (loose disc; only 50 cents!!!), Nexomon Extinction (I'm almost done with Nexomon 1), a Funko Pop! of Ace Levy from Starship Troopers (for customization originally, but maybe I'll watch the movie and if I like it just keep it like this) and a DOOM shirt with a pentagram on it (it looks so fucking cool). So at least I have that to look forward to. It's coming in on Wednesday. Close enough to unwrapping Christmas presents. ...right?
