Okay, so we're, like, pretty fucking fucked right now, folks. Yori made a website a few days ago and it's so cool, so I got inspired to work on my own website again after... weeks? months? So I was looking up some kewl webpages to link in a section dedicated to links, but when I tried to open one of the links of the Wayback Machine, it turned out the Wayback Machine didn't want to coorporate. I googled if it's down and it seems that it's been offline for MORE THAN TWO WEEKS. It might have happened that the site has come back online in-between then and now, as it also apparently went down and came back in April, but that's still worrying. I mean, I've heard talks before that the Internet Archive might be taken down completely because they published copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright holders, but I figured the site would probably be alright because it's so insanely big and popular and beloved, but seeing it offline now does make me fucking worried. Imagine if they did have to shut down permanently. All those websites lost forever... God, the thought of it makes me so sad and worried. I really hope the Internet Archive team can salvage this, but it seems they're doubling down on "We should be able to release copyrighted materials for free.", which is such a DUMB cause to die for, because OF COURSE they're not going to get their way. In this world, it's big companies and money > everything else. They should just apologize and ask for permission to the copyright holders to publish their books. Seriously, how fucking stupid are they? THIS IS NOT THE HILL TO DIE ON, SO GET UP AND TEND TO YOUR WOUNDS!!!
