The last few days have been quite chaotic. I'll recall what I remember.
So the first chaotic thing was on the 11th. It was around 7:30 pm and I had just grabbed dinner from the kitchen when I heard the doorbell. It was hard to see what was going on since it was light inside and dark outside, but it looked like there was someone trying to look into our house underneath the curtains. I told my mother someone was at the door, and so she came over from the kitchen. Normally I just walk out of sight until the person is gone when the doorbell rings and I don't recognize the person, because I'm not going to open the door for just anyone, definitely not unarmed, but my mother opened the small window in the living room and said "Who's there?". Two guys, who I guess were young adults but could have also been teens, said "Hello.". My mother once again said "Who's there?!" and they started explaining. They said that they worked for a farmer, or something, and they said that they had eggs left over, and they asked if we wanted a free carton of eggs. My mother obviously didn't open the door, but let's just pick apart what just happened.
There are two options. Option one is that they weren't lying and that they genuinely thought it a good idea to ring people's doorbells in the evening to ask people if they want eggs. This is pretty unlikely, however, because we didn't hear them go to our neighbors, which doesn't make much sense if they are just giving them away to anyone that opens the door. This also isn't the first time that guys ring our doorbell and stand at our door for a while and look inside before just leaving my street. The difference is that I'm often home alone or my mother is busy at those times, so I don't interact with them, so I have no idea what they want before they leave. Option two, the option I find more likely, is that this was just a cover-up for them trying to rob us. But that option is even more insane, because that means they had to come up with a lie to convince us to open the door for them and their best plan was to offer FREE EGGS WHILE STANDING MENACINGLY IN THE DARK...? If you're already lying anyway, you could just say ANYTHING, and they chose THAT. It's so fucking hilarious either way. But also super strange. Oh well, that's the kind of shit you get living in this neighborhood.
Yesterday wasn't less chaotic. I had made plans to meet up with someone I used to be good friends with in my first years of high school. She knew me when I was TWELVE. Anyway, the plan is that I'd take the bus to her house in the morning, but since I have no sense of time and somehow always manage to be late, I saw the bus drive away right in front of my nose while I was sprinting to the bus stop. I also forgot to put my comrade's number in my phone, so I couldn't call her to tell her I was late. I texted my mother about it and my mother asked her mother for the number, so after tearing up at the bus stop for a while, I got on the phone with my comrade and she said it was alright and that we could meet up in the afternoon instead. I slowly walked back home and when I got there, I just broke down crying on my bed. So that was cool. But surely enough, I was on time for the bus I was supposed to take the second time around. While I was waiting for the bus, some guy walked to the bus stop and he was smoking and he stood next to me and the smoke blew right in my face. Genuinely horrible. I want to beat that guy up. Anyway, after a few minutes his bus arrived, so he threw his cigarette on the ground and took a few steps forward, and the bus stopped for him. I never really go with the bus, so when my bus was about to arrive, I copied him and also stood close to the street so the bus would stop, but the bus driver just made some "Do you want to get in?" face at me, so I nodded, and she stopped too late, half off of the stop, and she got annoyed that I didn't put my hand up because "other busses use this stop too". She also tried to hurry me buying a ticket when I had to wait for the card reader to load. So fucking annoying. Then I had to change busses and that bus driver also seemed like he hated his job. But at least he wasn't rude or anything, so whatever. I enjoyed being in the bus and quite quickly arrived at my stop. But I was pretty early and I didn't know if my comrade was home from school already, so I called her and she said her bicycle lock broke and she couldn't cycle, so I asked what direction I should walk in to her house, and she gave me a full route which I could obviously not remember, but I started walking and followed what I did remember of her explanation, alongside following the signs next to the road. I did accidentally walk too far, but I called my mother and asked if she could look up if I walked too far, and she looked at the map and gave me directions, and eventually I did find it. As soon as I arrived at my comrade's apartment complex, so did she. She seemed very excited to see me and gave me a hug, but the meeting was overall pretty awkward because we don't really have much going on in our lives right now, so all we could do is talk about how shit our lives have been and how there is nothing going on. That and politics.
Talking about politics wasn't much better, because she said "At least Trump is good for his people.", so I started laughing, assuming it was a joke, but she stared at me for a bit too long and I quickly found out she's conservative right-wing. She likes Trump and doesn't like the left media and leftist indoctrination at schools, and she doesn't like immigrants or multi-culturalism or the Black Lives Matter movement. Which could have made for an interesting conversation had I not been so bewildered by her statements. I don't hang around anyone outside of my older family members who is conservative right-wing. She was respectful to me and all, but it was kind of difficult to really have a conversation because we were so different. I was honestly glad when I had to leave to take my bus home. She walked me to the bus stop and we had to wait for a bit because the bus was a few minutes late, so we stood at the end of the bus stop so we were keeping distance from the other people there, and then when the bus arrived, the two of us speedwalked to the front of the bus, but the bus' doors closed right in front of my face. I stood there and waved to the bus driver and his entire facial expression completely changed as he opened the door. He asked me if I wanted to get in and, when I said I did, he got super pissed at me and said I had to be quicker. He let me onto the bus, but he was talking down on me like I was some little kid and he was an overworked teacher. But I got on and managed not to trip as the bus accelerated when I walked to the seats. I eventually sat down in the far end of the bus and I couldn't really enjoy my ride back because I was upset by the bus driver being such an ASSHOLE. And then we arrived at the stop where I had to switch busses. But since our bus was a few minutes late already, the bus I had to take afterwards decided to drive away JUST AS WE ARRIVED. Fuck. You. So I had to wait for 22 minutes for the next bus, but I was only an hour walking or so away from home, so I called my mother to tell her I'd just walk home, since it was too cold and I was too pissed off to wait so long for the next bus, but she said she'd pick me up, so that's what she did. Not much later, I was finally back home. Home sweet fucking home. My comrade has texted me since then and told me she had fun and would really like to meet up with me again sometime, but I really don't care to meet up with her again sometime soon. But I didn't tell her that because she is really kind to me, so I just told her "maybe".
Today I haven't been up to much. I was considering hanging out with the comrades I often hang out with, but I decided I wasn't in the mood, so I stayed home. Mother and I just wanted to watch the next episode from this show we've been keeping up with, but now we found out this one episode is paywalled. I'm pretty sure it wasn't before, and all the other episodes can be watched (even those that HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN ON TV YET), but not the one we're at. It's so fucking annoying. I'm not paying to watch this one episode that was free before. Go fuck yourself. I really hope they unlock it again in the future, because this is annoying as Hell.
Anyway, that's all that's been going on the past few days. Aside from those things, I've mostly just been hanging out with the comrades in my social circle and going for long walks. But I've been typing for an hour, so I'll shut up now. Adios.
